Location: Whiteford Sands
When walking out to the old lighthouse at Whiteford Point it's hard not to miss the hulking remains of a steel buoy emerging from the flat sands. Though much of its metalwork has been taken long ago for salvage it is still possible to get a sense of how big it once was. The buoys age and original location are currently unknown, but it is safe to assume that it once marked one of the shipping channels into the Burry Inlet.
